- We just had our Thanksgiving gathering at Covey Run Farm near Madison. Scott Sharpe was a fantastic, accommodating host, and he is a true bird hunter. We made the most of the property with three generations hunting over our English setters. Excellent variety of terrain and cover, fast flying birds, and a cozy cabin with the perfect porch setting on the pond for our family's quail fry. Highly recommend if you are in the Triad area or visiting. Happy to share more about my experience! It was one we will never forget.
- Covey Run Farm in Madison, NC was an amazing experience in Quail hunting. Awesome hospitality, beautiful property and amazing dogs. Excellent guided hunt, will definitely go again. Contact Scott Sharpe at coveyrunfarms.com, great place for a relaxing bird hunt.
- This was such a nice place to come with my pup and sons for a day of training. Scott was so helpful and accommodating to everything we needed for the day. We will definitely be coming back here. If you are training a gun dog and need a place to put feathers in their mouth, without breaking the bank, this is the place to go.
- A couple of the guys and I decided to play hookie from work one fine Fall day. We went to Covey Run Farm and did a guided half day trip. It was amazing! Scott did a great job of running dogs for us while we got to concentrate on the shooting. Can’t wait to go back.
-"Big Ed" and I went for a quail hunt over Thanksgiving Break and had an amazing experience. The property is beautiful and what a value. Scott and Kenny are as cool as they come. The dogs were well trained and enjoyable to watch putting us on the birds. Will definitely be coming back to have some more fun. There's a cabin to rent on a scenic pond also if you are looking to for lodging.
- Scott and guest guide Tom were awesome. We had a blast even with the weather not overly ideal, Scott and his team made it happen with some great flying birds. We also brought our English cocker which Scott allowed to get in some reps and work with some of his dogs which was a great experience for us. We also stayed in the onsite cabin which is absolutely adorable. Really great no pressure laid back experience. Will be back again.
- Great place for quail hunting. Scott Sharpe runs a great place. Great for the beginner dogs all the way up to the seasoned dogs.
- Awesome experience. Scott has the best dogs around. Best quail hunt in the Piedmont that you will find.

-Scott and the crew were great. This was my first hunting experience and one I will never forget. Safety for the shooters, staff, and dogs, is their number one priority. Scott was patient, but firm in making sure everyone was in position to have a great hunt. Would highly recommend to anyone regardless of experience.
-Spent the day with Scott and Kenny today. My first bird hunt and was with 2 experienced shooters. We had a great day. They've got a really nice piece of property with great cover and Scott and Kenny were a treat to spend the day with. He has a beautiful place and I can't wait until next season to return. His dogs were fantastic. That was definitely a high light of the day to watch them work. It's a quick 30 minutes from downtown Greensboro. Maybe you'll be fortunate enough to have Rose and Pete as some of your dogs the day of your hunt too!!
-My husband and I made a trip here for his birthday. Highly recommend Covey Run Farm! We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the quail hunt as well as our stay in the lodge. Scott and Kenny were beyond amazing. They were so kind, accommodating, fun and helpful. (Esp to me since I was new at the quail hunting world). The dogs were awesome too, so smart and fun to interact with. Watching them work is a blast. We will definitely be back next year!!
